Final Guide for Vacating Tenants

INTERNAL
All applicable walls, doors, ceilings, floors, skirting boards, light fittings, ceiling fans, cupboards, exhaust fans, stoves, sinks, basins, shower screens, dishwashers, clothes dryers, washing machines, air conditioners, windows, screens, window tracks, curtains, blinds must be clean.


Rubber-backed curtains are to be dry-cleaned only.


Blinds are to be in working order. If required, broken chains and beading need to be replaced.


Carpets must be professionally steam cleaned by a professional company and the receipt must be provided to our agency.


Pest control treatment must be done in accordance with your tenancy agreement. A flea treatment must be done by a professional pest control company if a pet has resided at the property at any time and the receipt must be provided to our agency.


You are responsible for any breakages or damage that you have caused during your tenancy.


EXTERNAL
Mow lawns, trim garden edges, trim along the fence line, weed the garden beds and pebbled areas.


Remove all rubbish and garden waste.


Clean carports, garages, patios, paths, pergolas.


Clean oil/grease stains from driveway, carport and other concrete areas.


Ensure rubbish bins are clean, as they were for the start of your tenancy.


KEYS
Return all keys (including any extras you have had cut) and remote controls, as signed for at the start of your tenancy.


We look forward to a smooth hand-over of your rental property. Once the final inspection has been satisfactorily completed, we will be in a position to refund your bond. Rent will be due and payable until all keys are returned. Remember to disconnect your phone, gas & electricity services and re-direct your mail.
